| The Bear Creek Mountain Lodge is
located in Southwestern Colorado near Four Corners. We
are ideally situated in the mountains along the Dolores
River. It is about a 40 minute drive northeast of
Cortez and about 45 minutes southwest of Telluride. The
nearest "real" town is Dolores which has basic amenities
including a gas station, restaurants, and a general
store. There is a small store two miles up the road that
has basic grocery and fishing items. The Lodge is near
many amazing activities and area attractions
including: Telluride, Mesa Verde, Durango, and

The Lodge is truly "in
the mountains" fully surrounded by
National Forest that is full of pines,
spruce, mixed conifers, and aspen. At
over 8,000 feet / 2,450 meters above sea
level, we are entwined in the trees,
mountains and canyons, and host an
amazing array of wildlife. |

There are many
nearby logging roads
and trails for
hiking, horseback
riding, or ATVing.
Just below us is the
Dolores River which
has numerous public
access points for
enjoying fishing,
kayaking, or wading.
