Escape to the Mountains of Colorado

Nestled in the beautiful San Juan Mountains, the Bear Creek Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to take a vacation, relax, and get away from the world.

About Our Cabin & Family

Our Family Home Is Your Family Home! The Bear Creek Mountain Lodge was originally built in the early 1970’s by Harry and Betty Bradley as a place for their family to escape day-to-day life and getaway to the mountains of Colorado. Long before the Lodge was constructed, Harry and Betty moved their growing family from the Midwest and established themselves in the Southwest, settling in Tucson, Arizona in 1965. Harry was a World War II veteran, having served in the medical core as part of the 10th Mountain Division ski troupes. After his service, he created his own shoe distribution company starting in 1951, and ran it until he retired in the early 1980’s. Betty had a degree in Home Economics and mostly was an at-home-super-mom raising their large family. They had six children together.
